My name is Iban Villazala Escorihuela. I am Spanish and 29 years old. I live in Aragón, a region in northern Spain. I am a rafting guide and a canoeing instructor, currently working in the Central Pyrenees, the mountain range that separates Spain and France. The company where I work is Kayak Camp (http://www.kayakcampo.com).

I work mainly in two rivers: the river Ara (class IV/V) and the river Esera (Class III). In both I work as a rafting guide and safety kayaker, hydrospeed and canoraft. I also practice kayak in other rivers existing in the area.

In 2011 and 2012 I made the season on the rivers Mendoza and Atuel (Argentina) working for the companies Equinoccio rafting and Extremo rafting. In 2013 and 2014 I worked as a rafting guide in the Fonce river, San Gil (Colombia). I was paddling as well on the Suarez River in Santander (Colombia), and on the rivers Negro and Pinzaima (Cundinamarca, Colombia) among others, in addition to an expedition to the Chicamoya canyon.

I would like to keep growing as a river guide, traveling and knowing different countries, people and cultures, as well as new rivers in which I can paddle while I make a living and enjoy my passion: the river. I would like to work in New Zealand and have the opportunity to learn from you, to meet people to paddle with who know well the rivers in the area. If there is any vacancy in your company and you are interested in what I can offer you, please contact me to this address. My blog is http://ibanvillazala.blogspot.com, you can see there some pictures of my activities and rivers. Thanks for your attention. Looking forward to your answer, yours faithfully,

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to enquire about doing a rafting season in New Zealand this coming season.

I am twenty year old qualified raft guide with experience and qualifications in canyoning, mountain biking and other outdoor activities. Since a young age I have had a passion for the outdoors and extreme sports. Over the past 4 years I have worked hard to gain the required qualifications to work for one of the most prestigious outdoor companies in North Wales. http://www.sasoutdoors.co.uk/activity-weekends/white-water-rafting-wales.asp

Upon completing my ski season this winter, I am keen to further my rafting skills abroad, in order to experience the higher volume and more technical rivers that New Zealand has to offer.

My current relevant qualifications are:
IRF Level 3 Raft Guide
SRA level 2 restricted Raft Guide
Responsive emergency care first aid level 2
Swift Water a Flood Rescue Technician
Mountain Biking Instructor Award Scheme Level 2 Technical Terrain
BTEC Level 3 in Outdoor Education and Adventurous Sports
